David C. Austin David Christopher "Chris" Austin, age 46, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord April 30, 2013. Chris was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved Jesus as his savior and witnessed to all that knew him. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Philippians 4:67; Isaiah 40:31. Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, May 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Audie Bogus and Brother Ronnie Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley's Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Douglas C. Austin and Edward and Irene Williams. He is survived by his wife, Paula Allen Austin; parents, Paul Robert Austin Sr. and Helen Williams Austin; brothers, Bobby, Mike and Greg Austin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Jamie Allen; grandmother, Ruth Austin; special nieces and nephew, Bradie Lewter, Chelsea Nobles, Kaile Allen and Jaren Allen; great-nephew, Bentley Holt. Chris had a host of friends. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Ray, Lance Austin, Keith Montgomery, Randy Allen, Dennis Bain and John Venters. Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Builders Choice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shoals Save-A-Life or the American Cancer Society.
