Services for journeyman electrician Dave Harvey Austermuhl , 49, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Elder Stephen McPherson of SeventhDay Adventist Church. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the chapel. Mr. Austermuhl died Nov. 8 at his Anchorage residence.
Born July 22, 1937, in Tacoma, Wash., he had lived in Anchorage for 38 years and had graduated from West High School in 1956. He had been a journeyman electrician in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 14 years. He was employed with O'Neill & Son for eight years, and had been with the Alaska Railroad for four years.
He leaves his wife, Geraldine of Anchorage; five sons, Allan, Jon, Ed and Dan of Anchorage, and Brian of Kirkland, Wash.; his daughter, Linda of Anchorage; three brothers, Larry of Eagle River, Don and Lynn of Anchorage; his parents, Elaine and Harvey of Anchorage; four grandchildren; two nieces and four nephews. Memorials may be sent to the Alaska Heart Association, 2330 E. 42nd, Anchorage, 99504. Burial will be at Angelus Memorial Park. Arrangements by Spenard Heights Mortuary.
