Blanch (Dickerson) Ausmus was the wife of Henry B. Ausmus. She and Henry had four children; Paul Edwin (August 17, 1912 - March 8, 1913),"Infant Son" (August 5, 1914 - August 5, 1914), Charley C. (September 17, 1914 -December 30, 1992), and Leroy W. (February 12, 1916 - August 27, 1916). Blanch was the daughter of William Dickerson and Nancy Ellen (Paul). Blanch and Henry were married on December 20, 1910 in Liberal, Kansas. Blanch and Henry lived on and operated the Ausmus family farm. As the years passed, in spite of drought, hail, illness, and tragedy in the loss of three infant sons, they managed to posper. They progressed from a half dugout to a large modern farm home. Blanch unexpectedly passed away on April 8, 1957. Cause of death was believed to be a heart attack.
