Ellis -- Isidore J. Augustine, 72, died Sunday, March 17, 1996 in Enid, Okla. He was born to Frank and Magdalena (Stecklein) Augustine. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He married Dorothy Leiker on July 24, 1941 in Ellis.

He was a former driller in the oil field and a truck driver. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis, the American Legion, and the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Francis, Nickerson, Charles, Ellis, and Patrick, Denver; a daughter, Judith Abbott, Pomona, Calif.; three brothers, Gilbert, Ellis, Pius, Fort Lupton, Colo., and Jim, Overland Park; two sisters, Florence Storm, Lakewood, Colo., and Bernita Scheutz, Texas; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.

Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis, with Father Galen Long officiating; burial in the church cemetery. A parish wake begins at 7:30 p.m. today at the Wasinger Funeral Chapel, Ellis. Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday.
