A native of Sacramento California, Amador August passed peacefully on August 6, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Greta Lou, daughters and their husbands, Cynthia & Charlie Barr, Mike & Debbie Williamson, Lou Ann & Roger Ghilain. grandchildren Tracie & Eric Guillen, Trische & Geoff Olander, Mac, Zakary & Colleen Williamson, Todd Barr, Natalie & Courtney Ghilain, his sister Jo Ann and husband Joe Cabral. He was further blessed with 4 great-grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, and Brandon Guillen and Gabriella Olander, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Machado, brothers Manuel and Frank August. He had been an active member of Southside Improvement Club and Cabrillo Club #5. He proudly served in the Navy during WWII. He loved to hunt and garden, travel and was happiest when surrounded by his family.
Friends are invited to attend a Rosary service on Monday, August l2th at 7:30PM at W.F. Gormley & Sons. 2015 Capitol Ave., Sacramento, CA. A funeral service will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. 1817 12th, Street, Sacramento, CA on Tuesday, August 13th, 2013, at 1O:OOAM. A reception will follow. Remembrances can be made to St. Elizabeth Church or a charity of your choice .

A native of Sacramento, California, Amador August passed peacefully on August 6, 2013.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Greta Lou, daughters and their husbands, Cynthia & Charlie Barr, Mike & Debbie Williamson, Lou Ann & Roger Ghilain, grandchildren Tracie & Eric Guillen, Trische & Geoff Olander, Mac, Zakary & Colleen Williamson, Todd Barr, Natalie & Courtney Ghilain, his sister Jo Ann and husband Joe Cabral.

He was further blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, and Brandon Guillen and Gabriella Olander, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
