Marjorie Jean "Midge" (Aucutt) Reiners, age 78, of Sandwich, IL passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002. She was born July 15, 1923 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Laurence and Thelma and Thelma (Doyle) Aucutt.
Marjorie was united in marriage on October 24, 1942 to Lawrence Vernon Reiners in Memphis, MO. She worked at CTS Knights of Sandwich for many years and was a homemaker, raising seven children. In her spare time she enjoyed cross stitching and reading. Marjorie was a member of the United Church of Sandwich.
She is survived by five sons: John (Jean) Reiners of Stoughton, WI, Steve (Mischelle) Reiners of Sandwich, Monty (Betty) Reiners of Sandwich, David Reiners of Lincoln, IL, and Ron (Ruth) Reiners of Sandwich; one daughter, Sharon Bradford of Sandwich. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Douglas Reiners, Jennifer, Stephanie and Rachel Bradford, all of Sandwich, and Luke and Misty Cozart of Canton, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Nadia and Madelynn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, on May 7, 1982; her daughter, Sandra Kay, in 1971; her brother, Robert Aucutt, and her sister, Geraldine Ashley.
Funeral services for Marjorie will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2002, at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich; Pastor Jenny Weber will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2002 from 4-7 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjorie's name to the United Church of Sandwich, or the charity of the donor's choice.
