Gladys Dugas Aucoin, 91, and a resident and native of Napoleonville, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at 9:48 p.m. She was born March 17, 1916. She was a retired clerk/cashier with former Louisiana Light & Power Co.

Visiting at Church of the Assumption in Plattenville on Thursday, June 28, from 8 a.m. until memorial Mass at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Trey Nelson. Interment in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Mary Aucoin, Napoleonville; grandson and his wife, Dean and Heidi Aucoin, Napoleonville; granddaughters, Kristy Aucoin, Napoleonville, and Winnie Carpenter, Gulfport, Miss.; great-grandsons, Matthew and Michael Aucoin, both of Napoleonville; and great-granddaughters, April Aucoin and Stephanie Carpenter, both of Gulfport. Other survivors include her brothers, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Floyd Dugas, Napoleonville, Norman and Helen Dugas, Merritt Island, Fla., Mary and Dennis Hebert Sr., Houma, and Pauline Dugas, Houston; nieces and nephews, Janet Bourg, Delores, Clifford Jr. and Jerry Aucoin, Amanda H. Boudreaux, Dennis Hebert Jr., Norma D. Van Slyke, Karen D. Marinosci, Stephen McNerney and Preston James Dugas; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Aucoin Sr.; parents, Calixte and Cecile Guillot Dugas; brothers, C.J. "Ace" Allen and Preston Dugas; sister, Kyrle D. Blanchard; brothers-in-law, Lawrence "TuBlanc" Blanchard, Clifford Aucoin Sr., Roland "Gramp" Aucoin; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Aucoin, Ettie H. Aucoin, Nadine P. Dugas and Margaret C. Dugas.

Landry's Funeral Home Inc., Thibodaux, is in charge of arrangements.
