Sid was born Feb. 2, 1896 in Forest, Indiana to George Arthur and Sara Emma Nattinger Auble. He married Frances Gladys Foreman daughter of Joseph and Mary Delcena Mann Foreman. They had two sons, James Bradley and Joseph Conrad Auble.
Sid studied to be a pharmacist. He owned and operated a drugstore in Cayuga, Indiana for many years. When he sold the drugstore he was appointed Postmaster in Cayuga by James A. Farley. After years as Postmaster he worked as a Railway Mail Carrier on the C&EI Railroad. He was fatally stricken ill while at work on the train. He was taken from the train in Danville, Illinois at 2am and pronounced dead at Lake View Hospital June 17, 1955.
He was survived by his wife and sons, four brothers; George, Frank, and Woodard of Indianapolis, Indiana and Fred of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Muriel Meissler of Sao Paulo, Brazil, South America and Mildred Holmes of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and two grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by one brother, Robert who lived in Estes Park, Colorado.
Sid was a Past Master of Cayuga Masonic Lodge, F & AM 584, member of the Railroad Mail Clerks Association, and a veteran of World War II.
He is buried at the Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana.
