Helen L. Aubel, 86, of Spring Garden Township, died at Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
Born September 29, 1923, in York, a daughter of the late William J. and Helen E. (Bowmaster) Aubel.
She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Cornell University and the New York School of Nursing, and her Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Maryland. She was retired as Assistant Chief of Nursing for the Lebanon Veterans Hospital. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York; the College Club of York; the Women's Club of York; the Matinee Music Club; Pennsylvania Nurses Association District 20; Sigma Theta Tau; Historic York; the Historical Society of York County; and the York Twinning Club.
Miss Aubel is survived by two cousins, Alice Greth of Bend, Ore., and David Keiser of Medford, Ore.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
