Edward Beecher Atwell passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, in Columbus, where he had lived since 1975.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Friday in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
He was born March 21, 1911, in Fort Worth.
He served in the Army in World War II, was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Fort Worth and belonged to First United Methodist Church in Columbus. He was retired from Fort Worth National Bank as well as the state of Texas as a state savings and loan examiner.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Nan Ella Harp Atwell; and his parents, Edward Beecher Atwell Sr. and Lottie Willis Atwell.
Survivors: daughter, Ann Atwell Lindsey; granddaughter, Mandy Margaret Mudge; grandson, Edmund Webster Mudge IV, all of Frisco; sister, Doris Roland of Arlington; and three nieces and three nephews.
