Mr. Charles H. "Buddy" Attkisson, 79, a resident of Dry Creek Road, near Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday April 10, 2003 at the VA Medical Center in Nashville.

Graveside services for Mr. Attkisson will be conducted Sunday, April 13, 2003 at 3:00 PM at Arlington Cemetery with Reverend William Owens officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 until 8:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 until 2:30 PM at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Henry G. and Mary E. "Lizzie" Hill Attkisson. He was a retired farmer and member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Attkisson served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by one sister; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Attkisson is preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
