She was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Benfer, a daughter of the late Carl Brunner and Nina (Luck) Brunner Shamory. On Feb. 11, 1938, she married Ralph W. Attig, who preceded her in death on Aug. 3, 1994.

She was a member of the United Methodist Women and a life member of the Snyder County Historical Society. In 1995, she received a citation recognizing 50 years of continuous voting.

Anna enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. She loved snow and was a big Phillies fan. Anna loved preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for her family and hosting the annual family soup day, usually held in January to celebrate family birthdays. In her later years, she was known as a feisty lady by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by one son in infancy, Ronald Dale Attig, and her one grandson's wife, Dawn Day-Shamory.

Family and friends will be received from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Paxtonville United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral at 3:30 with the Rev. Randall G. Bennett Jr., officiating.
