Funeral for Geneva Audry "Judy" Attebery of Willamina will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Adamson's Sheridan Funeral Home, with Philip McBrien officiating.

Mrs. Attebery died Oct. 3, 2004, in Willamina. She was 79. Interment will be in Green Crest Memorial Park, Sheridan.

Geneva Cureton was born March 4, 1925, in Brushy Ridge, Okla. She and George C. "Buck" Attebery married Oct. 27, 1940, in Hatfield, Ark. He preceded her in death. Their first son was born in 1941 and her husband went into the Navy in 1943. That was when she moved with her parents and brothers to San Diego. She moved to Oregon in 1946, and when he was released from the Navy, he moved the family to Lyons, Ore. They lived in Klickitat, Wash., Madras and Lebanon before settling in Sheridan in 1970.

She worked in Heddy's Snack Bar in Sheridan for 10 years.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Attebery of Willamina and Charley Attebery of Lebanon; three brothers, Arvin Cureton and Vernon Cureton, both of Stayton, and Cleman Cureton of Grants Pass; eight grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers and a grandson.
