Geraldine Joyner Atkinson was the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth Speight Joyner and wife of Jimmy Atkinson. She was a member of the Salvation and Praise Church where she served as Chairman of the Mother's Board. Funeral services were held at the Salvation and Praise Church December 8, 2007 at 1:00 pm. She was survived by her husband, four daughters, Marjorie Crandall, Argie Yarborough, Doris Baker and Shirley Joyner; three brothers, George T., James Richard and Herbert Joyner, Sr.; one sister, Connie Williams; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
