Mrs. Caroline Atkins Dies at Home in Cushing.
News of the death at her home in Cushing, Okla., of Mrs. Caroline Atkins, Wednesday afternoon has been received here. Mrs. Atkins, a resident of Arkansas City many years ago, was the mother of Mrs. A.W. Hester, of 1401 West Chestnut avenue, Mrs. Hester is in Cushing now. Mrs. Atkins was 84 years old. Her husband an early day resident here who has been dead many years, left here soon after the opening of the Strip. He was a Civil War veteran.
The body of Mrs. Atkins will be brought to Arkansas City Friday and will be place in the community mausoleum at Riverview cemetery at 2:30 Friday afternoon. No services will be held here. Mr. Atkins is buried there and Mrs. Atkins body will be place beside that of her husband.
