Dorothy Sisk Atkins, 91, of Front Royal, Va. died on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal, Va. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Turner-Robertshaw Chapel. Reverence Becky Picher, Reverend Jack Campbell and Reverend Dr. Wayne Woodard will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Atkins was born on 30 August 1914 in Washington, Va., daughter of the late Aldridge and Sarah Sisk. She was a member of Flint Hill Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Atkins was the widow of Luther A. Atkins. Mrs. Atkins was retired from Aileen, Inc. where she was a training supervisor; she was also a homemaker. Mrs. Atkins was the last member of her immediate family. Mrs. Atkins is survived by six daughters: Bernice Mae Welch of Flint Hill, Va., Violet Ann McInturff and husband, Eugene of Strasburg, VA, Margaret Jenkins of Flint Hill, Va., Shirley Baker and husband, Ott of Front Royal, Va., Barbara Owens and her husband Jesse of Hartsell, AL. and Dorothy Jenkins and husband Clifton of Sperryville, VA. 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be: Mike Welch, Michael Payne, Billy Pullen, Raymond Pullen, III., Jesse Owens Jr. and Clifton Jenkins Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be remaining grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2006 from 7:00 pm-8:00 pm at Turner Robertshaw Funeral Home.
