Mrs. George Atha Dies at Age of 81
Mrs. Anna Lee Atha, widow of George W. Atha, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Lang, Pickett road. Mrs. Atha, who was 81 on January 16, was a life long resident of Buchanan county. She was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Milton Tadlock, early residents of the Frazier community. For many years she and her husband made their home in the vicinity of what is now known as Carr Town.
Mrs. Atha is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Lang; a son, Floyd L. Atha, Denver, Colo.; three brothers, William Tadlock, Agency; George Tadlock, Union Star, Mo.; and Marvin Tadlock, St. Joseph; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Court, Miss Ethel Tadlock, head of the children's department at Central Public Library, and Mrs. A. L. Phillips, all of St. Joseph; Mrs. Addie Littleton and Mrs. Lou Graham, both of Los Angeles; three grandchildren and sox great grandchildren.
The body is at the Heaton Bowman funeral home where services will be Monday at 3 p. m., Dr. R. V. Powell officiating. Burial will be in Frazer cemetery.
