Favila, or Fafila, Second King of Asturias. Son of King Pelayo and Gaudiosa, he gobernated 2 years, from 737 (death of Pelayo) to 739. Was married to Froiluba or Froleba. He died in 739, because of a bear attack according to the legend; but by political causes probably. Originally buried in Cangas de Onís, perhaps in the Ermita de la Santa Cruz, built in 737. His body now rests in an unknown place. Succeded by the husband of his wife Ermesinda, Alfonso I. (bio by: Phentesilea)
