Edward Asman, a resident here over 50 years, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Monday at Saginaw General Hospital after a lingering illness. He was born September 28, 1874, in Russia, and came here in 1896, where he has lived since. He married Caroline Gardai, June 30, 1901, in Saginaw. She survives him. He was a charter member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and the Lutheran Fraternities Local No.41. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters and one son; Mrs. Alban Anderson, Saginaw; Mrs. Walter Engelhardt, and Clarence Asman, both of Bay City; three grandchildren; also one brother, August Asman, Saginaw...burial in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery....
