Pearl J. Marstrom, 72, of Manson and formerly a 25-year resident of Pateros, died at her home on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002.
A Tribute Service in her honor will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at 11 a.m. from Barnes Chapel in Brewster with Donn Plew, Celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. with a private interment.
Pearl was born Aug. 21, 1930, at Sparta, GA, the daughter of Lindsey and Evelyn (Cadle) Askew. Pearl attended school there and then when she was 13, moved with her family to Washington.
On June 21, 1947, she was married to Elton Marstrom. They made their home on Bainbridge Island and then Everett. In 1970, they moved to Camano Island. Pearl moved to Pateros in 1987. She spent the winters in Imperial Spa, CA. She moved to Manson last April to be near her daughter.
Pearl was full of life and laughter. She loved to ride through the desert on quadrunners. She had a multitude of friends and loved to care for people, especially anyone who was sick.
She is survived by her husband of Camano Island; a son, Gary, and his wife Rita of Olympia; a daughter, Debbie Rogers, and her husband, Virgil; three grandchildren, Michael and Marty Marstrom, Timothy Tuengel and one great-grandson, Dane Marstrom.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
