Reba Ashmore, 85, of Russellville died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center in Russellville.
The daughter of John and Winnie Truett Leavell, she was born Oct. 23, 1923, in Martin, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John Ed and Truett Leavell; and three sisters, Pauline Trimm, Belva Payne and Moffatte Lay.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Ashmore of Dardanelle and Jerry Ashmore and wife, Janice, of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren, Bryan Ashmore, Tricia Ashmore, James Ashmore and wife Gloria, Tersea Earnest and husband Don, Christopher Ashmore and Matthew Ashmore and wife, Jennifer; 10 great-grandchildren, Bryan Ashmore Jr., Jennifer Bronson, Jared Bronson, Blake Ashmore, Michael Ashmore, Linsey Earnest, Emily Earnest, Elizabeth Earnest, Katherine Leigh and Andrew Douglas Ashmore; two great-great-grandchildren, Kesler Frost and Keaton Ashmore; one brother Robert Edsel Leavell; and one sister Evelyn Driver.
Graveside service was at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Oakland Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
