Mrs. Ellen James Sullivan, 83, of Spotsylvania County, died Sunday, September 15 at her home. Born in Bowling Green, Mrs. Sullivan had retired as a machine operator at Morganstern Pants Co. in Fredericksburg. She was a long time member of Arwood Church of God and was a choir director at the church. She as the widow of Howard McKiney Sullivan, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Gloria A. Sullivan of Fredericksburg; a stepson, Edward Norman Sullivan of Stafford; two nieces and three nephews. A funeral will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday at Arwood Church of God, with the Rev. Robbie D. Spencer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Services, Fredericksburg Chapel. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Arwood Church of God, 1717 Stafford Avenue, Fredericksburg, Va., 22401, or the Spotsylvania Rescue Squad, Box 101, Spotsylvania, Va. 22553.
