MARIAN LOUISE ASHLEY 53, of rural Jackson, Nebraska was pronounced dead at her residence on Monday, March 11, 2002. Memorial services were held at 10:30 Saturday March 16, 2002 at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska with the Rev. Bill Anderson officiating. Burial of the cremains was on March 22, 2002 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon, Iowa.
Miss Ashley was born February 17, 1949, at Anthon, Iowa; the daughter of Eldon Burton and Nellie Katherine (Petersen) Ashley. She was raised in the Anthon area where she lived most of her life. She moved to Jackson, Nebraska where she made her home. She was employed with Swift Packing Co., Wellers Plastics and Gill Landfill.
Survivors include two brothers and their wives, George and Marilyn Ashley of Cushing, Iowa, and Blaine and Jane Ashley of Moville, Iowa; five sisters, Janice and her husband, Glen Little of Lake View, Iowa, Marcia and her husband, Jerry Sistrunk of Sac City, Iowa, Sharon and her husband, Dennis Howard of Pierson, Iowa, Eunice and her husband, Mark Ericsson and Evelyn Putzier, all of Anthon; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother who was stillborn.
