Miss Dorothy W. Ashley, 40, formerly of Sibley, was found dead in her apartment in Rantoul at 10 a. m. Thursday, April 16. by her landlady, Mrs. Leo Keyes.
Champaign County Coroner Don Wycoff has attributed the death to natural causes and estimated that she died about 8:30 p. m. Wednesday.
Her funeral was held at the Lamb Funeral Home at Gibson City with the Rev. R. M. Luedde officiating.
She was born Feb. 25, 1919 near Sibley, a daughter of Amos and Laura Stein Ashley. She graduated from Sibley high school in 1936 and from Gallaghera Business College at Kankkee in 1938.
She had been employed in the Judge Advocate's office at Chanute Air Force Base since 1942.
She Married Edward Pranger in 1951 and they divorced.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Laura Ashley, two brothers, Curtis and Ellis; two nephews and a niece, all of Sibey. Her father preceded her in death.
