Carl Lee Ashley Jr., 60, of Bee Spring died June 7, 2007, at his residence. The Edmonson County native was a son of the late Carl Lee "Sal" Ashley Sr. and Mary Charles McGrew Ashley of Bee Spring, who survives.
Other survivors include his wife, Laura Jean Ashley; seven daughters, Denise Saling and her husband, Kevin, Chelsie Ashley and Carly Ashley, all of Bee Spring, Carla Davis of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Shawn Napper of Bowling Green, Sue Ann Pedigo and her husband, Robert, of Windyville and Samantha Baker of Arizona; three brothers, Ray Ashley of Mammoth Cave and Damon and Mark Ashley, both of Bee Spring; seven sisters, Pat Poteet, Carolyn Salings and Mary Helen Pate, all of Bee Spring, Pam Durbin and Maxine White, both of Sunfish, Martha Booth of Windyville and Jeanette Kirby of Bowling Green; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Monday at Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Bee Spring Church Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the church. Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
