Juanita Asher, 92, Greencastle, formerly of Gosport, died Friday afternoon.
Born May 11, 1911 in Clinton County, she was the daughter of Guy Carothers and Edith M. Thompson.
She and husband Horace Asher were married 45 years before he preceded her in death.
A homemaker, she had worked for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Indianap-olis and had been a deputy treasurer and deputy auditor in Owen County.
A member of Gosport Baptist Church, she was a member of Ivanho chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, Gosport; Fortnightly Club and The Guild, Greencastle.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet Stouder and husband John, Ellettsville, and Joy Marley and husband Bill, Greencastle; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Joe and Jack Asher.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Gosport. Rev. Paul Bowen will officiate. Burial will be in Gosport Cemetery.
Visitation is set for noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
