Mrs. F. June Asher, 79, R. R. 1, Waldron, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Waldron Nurshing Home after a long illness.
Mrs. Asher, whose home was near the Rush-Shelby-Dectur county line, formerly lived in the Milroy community about 15 years. She was a member of the old London United Methodist Church.
She was born in Morgan County on August 16, 1894, the daughter of Charles and Ellen Beverly Lewis, and was married February 25, 1913, to Orla E. Asher, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, three daughters, four sisters, one brother, 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Ernest Anderson will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carmony Funeral Home in Shelbyville, where friends may call any time, with burial in the Gosport Cemetery.
