A native of Jackson County, Mr. Ashe had lived the past three years in Crossville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. He was an avid outdoorsman, an Angus cattleman, a graduate of Cullowhee High School and was a graduate of Southwestern Community College in law enforcement. He was the president of Ashe Trucking and Grading in Waynesville, NC and Crossville, TN.
Survivors include his parents, Early and Bea Shelton Ashe of Franklin; wife, Frances Gordon Ashe of Crossville; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Gary Henry of Cullowhee, NC; sons and daughter-in-law, William Ashe of Waynesville and Tim and Tonya Ashe of Franklin; and grandchildren, Kishia and Clell Ashe and Lindsey and Cole Henry.
Melton-Riddle Funeral Home of Sylva, NC, was in charge of the arrangements.
