Lucille Imogene Ardoyno (1918 - 2011)
Lucille Imogene Ashcraft Ardoyno, 93, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011. Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Cathedral followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Patrick Cathedral, 1206 Throckmorton St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
Lucille was born in Greenville on Jan. 8, 1918, to Samuel and Dennie Ashcraft. She spent her childhood in Rogers and moved to Fort Worth at the beginning of her junior year in high school. She met her husband, Matt, while attending Polytechnic High School and would have celebrated 75 years of marriage in December.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Ann; son, Rockne Matthew; sisters, Beatrice, Ferrol and Merle; and brothers, Murris and Eulis.
Survivors: Her husband, Matthew; daughters, Laretta Hefner of Fort Worth and Linda Fenn and husband, Jerry, of Blum; sister, Ruth Cahall (Pell) of Keller; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
