They were the parents of a son, Joseph Franklin Davenport. They divorced. She was then married to William Ashby; they also divorced.

Born May 19, 1915, in Lafayette, she was a life resident of the area. Mrs. Ashby was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary. Surviving are one son, Joseph F. Davenport; one sister, Maxine (Mrs. Harold) Holdman, both of Lafayette; two grandsons and four great-grandsons.
