John F. Ashby passed away on May 17, 2014 in a Granbury care facility. John was born in Carrizozo, New Mexico April 7, 1941; the son of Robert and Linnie (Waldrop) Ashby. John served his country with pride in the U.S. Army and worked in the manufacturing industry most of his life. He never met a person that he could not start a conversation with; he was a true people person and fully enjoyed conversing with friends. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Graveside service is scheduled for Friday 2:00 pm at Indian Creek Cemetery. John leaves behind daughters Lennie Taylor and Husband Tonie Taylor, May Royer and husband Doug Royer, Alana Gayle Ashby and Michele Ashby; Step daughters Debbie Dykeman and Karen Morgan; brothers Carl and Robert Ashby; sisters Ada Randall, Shirley Hopper, Marlene Payne and Betty Pruett along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.
