Graveside services for Nita Robinson will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Causey Cemetery with her nephews, Jerry and Lloyd Nance officiating. All other family members and friends will be honorary pallbearers.
Charlotte Anita Robinson, known to everyone as Nita, was born October 9, 1944 in Levelland, TX to the home of Edna and C. C. Ashbrook and died February 5, 2013 in Decatur, TX. Mrs. Robinson grew up in the Causey community in southeastern Roosevelt County, NM, and graduated from high school there in 1961. She attained her Licensed Vocational Nursing degree in Lubbock, TX. On August 30, 1968, in Morton, TX she was married to John M. "Rob" Robinson. For most of their married life they made their home west of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in Joshua, Decatur and Bridgeport.
Mrs. Robinson had worked at different times as an aide at a school for delinquent children, a prison guard, a real estate agent, a Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant and as a substitute teacher. Most recently she was involved in the family business of making ropes for rodeo events. Nita enjoyed many things, including painting, making ceramics and playing golf, but her greatest joy was in her family.
She is survived by Rob, her husband of more than 44 years of their home; her son, Brandon Robinson of Bridgeport, TX; her granddaughter, Katelyn Robinson; her sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and John Nance of Causey, NM, two nieces, Lesia (Monte) Radcliff and Pat (Abe) Peralta, two nephews, Jerry (Kelli) Nance and Lloyd (Cindy) Nance and several great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
