JAMES ANDERSON ASH, 69, of Odessa passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his residence.

He was born June 27, 1941 in McKinney, TX He was an Army veteran. He retired from UPS after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Lee and Mary Irene (Waggoner) Ash. Birth record lists Kathryn McKnight as his mother.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susie Murphy of Odessa, daughters, Brenda George & husband Shane of Forney, TX, Glenda Schrecengost & husband Ethan of Odessa, brother, Dub Ash & wife Darlene of Amarillo, sisters, Barbara Johnson & husband Don of Willard, UT, Nancy Hyde & husband King of Odessa, Lynn Risinger of Colorado, Dorothy Brashear & husband Chris of Millersview, TX, (3) grandchildren, Ashlan George, Cayson & Cayden Schrecengost, numerous nieces, nephews, & lots of friends, including best friend, Willie Vasquez.

Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Open visitation from 1-4p.m. Thursday & 9-1pm Friday. Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
