Mr. Asbill passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Asbill was born on July 10, 1923 in Emory, TX, the son of Houston and Dora (Jones) Asbill.
He married Gloria Ann England and she preceded him in death in 1986.
Mr. Asbill was a retired minister, he also retired as a G.E.D. teacher, was a member of the American Baptist Association and was affiliated with Elm Baptist Church.
Mr. Asbill served in the United States Army during WWII.
He is survived by daughters, Jo Blalock and husband John of Sulphur Springs, Lee Ann Daniels Decker and husband Norman of Edgewood, grandchildren, Amanda and Brandon Crowson of Quitman, Brandon and Jennifer Woodson of Sulphur Springs, Kristin and Robert Gable of Emory, Alissa and Ricky Phillips of Point and Kyle and Jennifer Greeney of Glen Heights, nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Alton Asbill and Thurman Asbill.
