Ridge Spring, SC – Annie Lois Asbill, 80, of Ridge Spring died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was also known statewide for her culinary talents as founder of Asbill's Catering Service. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ridge Spring Baptist Church with interment in Ridge Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Perry, Ronnie, Bobby and Frank Deese, Allen Parrish, Glenn, Philip, Forrest and Tommy Asbill
Mrs. Asbill was born in Johnston to the late Leon and Marie Scott Lybrand. She was a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church, WMU and adult Sunday school class. She started Asbill's Catering Service in 1963. She was married for 55 years to the late Leroy B. Asbill.
Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-laws, Donnie Asbill and wife Marie of Columbia; Ed Asbill and wife Jenna of Lexington; daughters and son-in-laws, Jean Asbill Chow and husband Jim of Columbia; Lisa Asbill Riley and husband Mike of Saluda; sisters Margie Lewis of Aiken; Althea Parrish of Batesburg; seven grandchildren, Ann Marie Asbill, Kelsey Asbill Chow, Collin Riley, Forrest Chow, Cameron Riley, Kiersten Chow and Carson Riley.
Family will receive friends tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at the home of her daughter in Saluda. Memorial can be made to Ridge Spring Baptist Church, 108 Church Circle, Ridge Spring, SC 29129 or Croft Home, 356 York Street, Aiken.
