Darwin Keith Asay, 47, died Friday, April 25, 1980 in the Powell Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for about 11 days. He was born June 20, 1932 in Kane, Wyoming, the son of William and Sarepta Asay. He spent his entire life in the Big Horn Basin. He married Elizabeth Jundt on January 13, 1950 in Powell, Wyoming. He worked in the oil fields and for the past 16 years he worked for L.L. Smith Trucking Co. of Powell. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth of Powell, three sons, Gary Eugene Asay of Powell, Darwin Lester Asay and Michael Gerald Asay, two daughters, Mrs. Sarepta Darlene Brewer and Saralie Joyce Asay all of Powell, Wyoming, and eight grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday, April 29, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. in the Powell LDS Chapel with Bishop Thayne Hopkin officiating. Burial will be in the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home in Lovell is in charge of arrangements.
