Valerie Garcia Asa, 53, of Phoenix, Arizona entered eternal life Monday, January 9, 2012. She was born October 22, 1958 in Las Cruces to Daniel A. Garcia and Margaret Rodriguez.
At the time of her death, Valerie was an administrative assistant with Maricopa County Government in Phoenix.
She is survived by a son, Brandon Asa and two daughters, Amanda Reynoso and Bianca Carreon all of Phoenix, Arizona; her father, Daniel A. Garcia of Abilene, Texas and her mother, Margaret Rodriguez of Las Cruces; seven brothers, Danny and Garry Garcia both of Las Cruces, Steven and Jimmy Garcia both of Abilene, Texas, David Garcia of Tennessee, Bobby Joe Lara of California and Richard Lara of Las Cruces; five sisters, Lorraine, Terry and Lucille Garcia, Liz Lara all of Las Cruces and Bertha Armijo of Clovis. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Lara, her husband, Jimmy Ebner, paternal grandparents, Carmen and Guadalupe Garcia, maternal grandmother, Natalia Rodriguez; and an uncle, Guadalupe Garcia, Jr.
Visitation for Valerie will begin at 1 PM, Friday, January 20, 2012 in Baca's Chapel of Prayer where the Funeral Service will begin at 2 PM. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers will be Garry, Steven and David Garcia, Bobby Joe and Richard Lara, and Angel Carreon. Honorary bearers will be Jerome Arrey and Josh Armijo.
