Bobbie June Arwood, age 75, of Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011, at her residence.
She was born in Washington County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late George Washington Shipley and Bertha Mae Castell. She was a homemaker and a member of Harrison Church of Christ.
Mrs. Arwood was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Arwood.
She is survived by her children, Howard Richard Arwood, Allen Brent Arwood and fiancée, Kimberly Hefner, and Tamela Dawn Arwood, all of Johnson City; two grandsons, Richard William Arwood and Benjamin James Arwood; one brother, Niles Shipley, of Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 9, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 10, 2011, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating.
