Funeral services for Mrs. Lolena Arvie will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Antioch Baptist Church in Ville Platte.
Interment will be in the Antioch B. C. Cemetery in Ville Platte, LA.
Pastor Eradley Ben, Sr. will conduct the services.
Mrs. Arvie, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Ville Platte Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA.
She leaves to honor her memories, four daughters: Gertrude (Sampson) Freeman of Houston, TX; Gracie Malveaux of Lake Charles, LA, Joylena Williams of Beaumont, TX and Gloria (Paul) Harrison of Ville Platte, LA; a surrogate daughter: Jennie Breaux of Lafayette, LA; three sons: Harry (Patricia) Arvie, Jerry (Patricia) Arvie and Clarence (Dianna) Arvie all of Beaumont, TX; six sisters: Lule Chapman of Starks, LA, Anna Belle Gocha, Elizabeth Cooper and Odessa Wallace all of Houston, TX; Gaynell Cooper and Rozenna (Nelson) Bell of Kansas City, MO; one brother: Jeff Guillory, Jr of Kansas City, MO; 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Jeff Guillory, Sr. and Deliah Ardoin Guillory; her husband: Ernest Arvie; one daughter: Margaret Arvie; two sons: Kernest and Wilbert Arvie; one grandson: Quinton Arvie; and three sisters: Lula Mae Baker, Rose McCree and Edna Mae Lackett.
Visitation hours will be observed on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 9AM-11AM at the Antioch Baptist Church.
