W R Artman suffered a hemorrhage of the lungs Sunday afternoon. He is some better at this writing.
"William Roy Artman was born Oct 14, 1885, at Denver, Colorado. He came to Washington in October, 1911, and after a few months settled in the Richland Irrigation district on the Columbia River.
A few years later he, with his family, moved to Weiser, Idaho, where he had located on a homestead. Here his health broke, and about two years ago he came to Edwall, where he resided until the day of his death, which occurred Feb 23, 1922.
He was 36 years, 4 months and 9 days old at the time of his death. He became a member of the Evangelical Association in 1913, lived a good Christian life and was not afraid to meet his maker when the call came to go higher.
He leaves to mourn his loss a loving and faithful wife, two children, a father, mother, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 10 o'clock from the ME Church. Rev Foster of Reardan, an old friend of assisted by Rev Pratt. Burial was had in Edwall, Cemetery." (Citizen: Edwall Column: March 3, 1922)
