ALBERT W ARTMAN--59:
died Monday [7-30] at the family home in Salmanca NY, following a brief illness. MrArtman was born 13 Mar 1869 at Jamestown & lived in Salamanca the past year. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of Scottish Rite & Shrine-Jamestown NY, Blue Lodge-Randolph NY, Elks Lodge-Meadvl & the Methodist Episcopal Church.
He leaves his widow Myrtle Artman & a dau: Gladys (sp-Russell) Barber-East Randolph NY.
A prayer service was held at the home Wed-nesday, RevAC Elliott officiating; on Thursday [8-02] the funeral party arrived in Meadville on Erie Train-5 & were taken to the home of his brother-in-law, Harry Line from where ser-vices were held in the presence of a large number of relatives & friends. The service was conducted by RevP DeLancey. Assisting as bearers were 6 relatives: Harry Line, CV Line, Alton Cotton, William Rhodes, Russell Barber & Ray Lewis. There were many beautiful floral tributes arranged about the casket.
The committal service of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks was conducted at the grave. The following friends from out of town were present {long list} Interment was made in Greendale Cem.
