The place of death and burial location of his mother, Permelia Willams Arthur, is unclead. She was originally from the Chattooga Valley area of Georgia, and thought to have been of Charokee descent; this is according to my Father, explaining to me that his mother (Emma Lee Arthur) was 1/8th Cherokee. It is believed that Permelia's sister, Dosia Ann Williams, married B.F. Arthur's brother, James Richard Arthur, both marriages taking place within three months in Rutherford County, Tennessee in 1869.
