Mary Frances Arthur, 85, of Cameron, a retired school teacher, died Monday, June 4, 2007, at her home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with the Rev. James E. Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mary Frances was born in Denton, Texas, to the late Robert B. and Evelyn Pearl (Masters) Neale. She married William F. "Bill" Arthur in Denton on Sept. 2, 1944. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron where she served as Sunday school teacher, greeter and sang in the choir.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include husband, Bill Arthur, of Cameron; daughters, Sara Barrett and husband, David, of Waco, and Ann Perrin and husband, Bill, of VanCouver, Wash.; grandchildren, Mary Ann Barrett, Melissa Tipton, Greg Perrin and Thomas Perrin; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Tipton and Taylor Tipton; and brother, Robert B. Neale, Jr., of Denton.
