Barbara Ann Dix, 76, of Robinson, IL died at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson.

She was born Sept. 30, 1934 in Bloomington, IL., the daughter of Clarence and Emma Allen Arteman.

She worked for GTE and Woolworth for several years and also worked on the family farm for 33 years.

She was an avid genealogist, donating countless hours towards the genealogy collection at the Robinson Public Library. She enjoyed playing the accorion and gave lessons for many years.

Barbara married Willard Eugene "Gene" Dix Oct. 18, 1952 and he preceded her in death Nov. 12, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Barbara is survived by her children, Lawrence Dix, Debbie Rich, Donald Dix, David Dix, Robert Dix; a sister, Rosemary Halter; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Goodwine Funeral Home with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Palestine.
