Fred B. Arteberry, 83, Rt 1, Olney died at his home Wednesday evening.
Services will be Saturday at Summers Funeral home with Rev. Jacob Bellamy presiding. Burial will be in Crest Haven cemetery.
Mr. Aterberry was born in Richland county on May 8, 1897, to John and Louella (Bowers) Arteberry. He married Hazel Pitts, November 29, 1916 and she survives. He was a member of the Elbow Methodist church and Sunday School teacher there for many years. He was a former member of the Parkersburg Ruritan Club.
Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Mildred) Eckel and Mrs. Richard (Palma) Gill, both of Olney; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Shirley, Minonk, three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son Cyril, who was killed in World War II, two brothers, a sister, and a half-sister and his parents.
