Ms. Gladys M. Arrowood, 76, Jonesborough, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.

She was a native of Washington County, the daughter of the late Welzy and Cleasie Branch Arrowood.

Ms. Arrowood retired form Baxter Pharmaseal after many years of service.

She was a member of Limestone Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn Moffitt and husband, Ray and Grace Bennett and husband, Junior; one brother, Roy Arrowood and wife, Pasty; one uncle, Larce Arrowood; one aunt, Louise Bennett; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor David Reece, Preacher Alfred Cutshall and Pastor Tim Broyles officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Limestone Freewill Baptist Cemetery. The family request that friends and family meet at the cemetery just before 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Howard Broyles, Dwight Mitchell, E.G. Morrow, Nathan Ledford, Daniel Ledford and Jermiah Ledford. Honorary Pallbearers are Keith Tolley, Terry Fillers, Shane Dixion, Bill Hammons and Gary Gentry.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vivian Arrowood and the fourth floor staff of the Johnson City Medical Center for their wonderful care of Gladys.
