Obituary for Mrs. Elsie Moore

Born in 1929 in Parksville, BC to Rev E.B. and Grace Arrol, Elsie passed peacefully in Oshawa, Ontario on Friday Nov 14, 2014 in her 86th year. Predeceased by the love of her life P.G. Gale Moore in 2003 after 55 years of marriage. Survived by her children Ron (Colleen), Doug (Pat), Randy (Bev), Darlene Banavage (Noel), Brenda Ansley (Jeff), Barbara McWatters (Kevin), Ken (Kristine) and Daughter-in-Law Donna Moore. Elsie blessed a multitude with her baking, hospitality and kindness. Possessing a strong faith and musical talent, she is remembered for participating in hundreds of hymn sings. Elsie made everyone in her presence feel special and was lovingly proud of each of her children, her 18 Grandchildren and 11½ Great Grandchildren. She was a treasured Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many. The family is grateful for the excellent care from the Trillium Trail staff at Hillsdale Estates in Oshawa. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 12 p.m. until the time of the service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Private family interment will take place at the Dalston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Presbyterian Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
