"Funeral services for Faris Bethaney Pike Arrington, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 2:00 pm from Forest Home Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating. Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 9th. Mrs. Arrington will lie in state for one hour at the church beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
Mrs. Arrington died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Columbus Regional Health System.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra (husband, Barry) Cook and Phyllis (husband, Tommy) Adamson both of Roanoke; three sons, Bobby Dean Arrington, Richard Terry Arrington, and Harold (wife, Donna) Clement Arrington all of Roanoke; two sisters, Dorothy Pate and Clemen Knight both of Roanoke; eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Arrington, Deanon Arrington, Adam Calhoun, Darden Arrington, Vayden Pate, and David Knight.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Arrington was born December 4, 1929, daughter of Elbert and Irene Folsom Pike. She was a member of Forest Home Congregational Christian Church and had been employed by Handley Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Hermis Clement H.C. “Bob” Arrington; son, Tommy Ray Arrington; daughter, Bethany Ann Arrington; one granddaughter, Lori Beth Adamson; her parents; three brothers, Herbert Pike, Recel Pike, and David Pike; one sister, Ruby Grace Arrington."
