Services for Rubye Moore, 90, of Lufkin, will be held in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Walter Futch and Reverend Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moore was born October 2, 1922 in Alto, Texas, the daughter of the late Willie Amelia (Hardy) and Thomas Louis Arrant. She passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Moore was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and playing with her great-grandkids when she was able to. She loved to attend church and was a member of O'Quinn Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Wilbert (Pete) Lane; son, James Wayne Moore; grandchildren, Donna Searer, Sherri Ivie, John Lane and Sharon Hughes; great-grandchildren, Krystal Zorn, Rebekah Searer, Hannah Walker, Lydia Chaffins, Sara Ivie, Grace Ivie and Matthew Ivie; great-great grandchildren, Michael Zorn, Tommie Zorn and Alexia Chaffins; and a number of other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband, L. C. Moore; 3 brothers and 5 sisters.
