Larry Dean "Bucky" Arnwine, 49, of Riceville, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, at his residence.

He was a graduate of the McMinn County High School class of 1976. He was employed with Johns Mansville of Etowah for 10 years, and was formerly employed with Athens Stove Works for more than 20 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Niota for many years and had presently been an active member of Greater Deliverance Ministries in Athens, where he was a trustee and was over the van ministries. He was a member of the Daddy D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) at Athens Junior High School and was an avid sportsman, enjoying all sports. He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenna Rose Snowden Arnwine; and his grandparents, Glen and Edna Mae Snowden Hurst and George and Mae Arnwine.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Lynn Carney Arnwine; one son, Justin Rashawn Arnwine of Athens; his father, George Arnwine of Athens; seven sisters and one brother-in-law, Glenda and Frank Hammons, Charlotte Arnwine, Debbie Arnwine, Joy Morris and Rashanae Arnwine, all of Athens, Reita Witt of Chattanooga, and Kelly Arnwine of Gallatin; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Eddie and Margaret Arnwine of Athens, James and Sena Arnwine of Etowah, and Omar Bell of Gallatin; his mother-in-law, Grace Carney of Antioch; one sister-in-law and husband, Patricia and Salon Holt of Antioch; one brother-in-law, James Carney of Honolulu, Hawaii; four special uncles and two spouses, the Rev. Arnold Snowden, Wendell and Margaret Arnwine, Billie and Jessie Arnwine and Ulyess Arnwine; one special aunt, Dorothy Arnwine; and many cousins and friends.

Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Greater Deliverance Ministries with Pastor Angela Arnwine officiating. Burial followed in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family received friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

M.D. Dotson & Sons Funeral Home of Athens was in charge of arrangements.
